CALF’s Mission: CALF connects people of all ages and abilities to agriculture through authentic educational programs, community projects, and leadership opportunities. Our goal is to help people experience agriculture and better understand the importance of agriculture in everyday life.
Learn by Doing
Through its internship program and Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE) projects, “CALF provides differentiated learning opportunities and makes life connections.” FFA Advisor and DCHS Ag Teacher.
Experiences range from working as an educational intern helping to lead learning stations for our connecting kids to agriculture field trips and tours; working as a ranch hand; or crafting individual SAE projects.

No ranch? No problem!
John and Bea Lowell, CALF’s founders, were dedicated to ensuring that all youth who wanted to be involved in agriculture had the opportunity to do so. They started the “CALF Kid” program in 2002. CALF continues this program today.
